Jay Bansal, MD
Laser Vision Correction Surgeon Medical Director
Jay Bansal, MD, medical director of LaserVue Eye Center is a nationally recognized refractive surgery specialist and LASIK eye surgeon. Dr. Bansal is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance. Recognized as a VISX Star Surgeon and one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” by Consumers’ Research Council, Dr. Bansal was among the first ophthalmologists in California to perform the LASIK procedure. His career is dedicated to the research, teaching, and practice of advanced vision correction techniques, including LASIK, PRK, and advanced cataract surgery procedures. He has performed more than 18,000 successful San Francisco Bay Area LASIK procedures and is certified as a trainer to other LASIK surgeons on both the VISX™ STAR and IntraLase™ Femtosecond laser systems. Dr. Bansal was the first LASIK surgeon in Northern California to offer the Wavelight Allegretto excimer laser to Bay Area LASIK patients.
Dr. Bansal lectures frequently on laser vision correction both nationally and internationally.

Swati Singh, MD
Swati Singh, MD, is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance. She is fellowship-trained in refractive surgery. Dr. Singh attended the University of Chicago School of Medicine. After completion of her residency at Northwestern University, she joined the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary as the director of Comprehensive Ophthalmology and assistant clinical professor.
Dr. Singh has been recognized as a VISX Star surgeon (awarded to the top 100 LASIK specialists) by VISX, Inc. and was named one of “America’s Top Ophthalmologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council. At LaserVue Eye Center, she performs leading-edge Customized Wavefront LASIK procedures combined with advanced surgical techniques.
Dr. Singh is not only a LASIK Eye Surgeon, but a successful LASIK patient as well.

Tom Tseng, OD
Dr. Tseng is a board-certified optometrist and has received specialty training in custom refractive, cataract, and glaucoma surgery. He has extensive experience treating a number of medical eye conditions and served as the former Chief Optometrist for the U.S. Coast Guard for the entire San Francisco Bay Area. He has spearheaded multiple Aviator Refractive Surgery Programs throughout the country and is passionate about what he does.
Dr. Tseng is not only an Eye Doctor, but a successful LASIK patient as well.

Dr. Kay Dombkowski
Dr. Dombkowski earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis at the top of her graduating class, earning her the prestigious Beta Sigma Kappa International Honors Society Silver Medal and multiple scholarships. Kay completed rotations at the Kansas City Veteran’s Administration Medical Center and the St. Louis Society for the Blind and Visually Impaired, to list a few. Kay has worked with the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity International group, donating her skills to provide comprehensive ophthalmic care for thousands of impoverished people in El Salvador. She is a member of the national, state and local optometric associations, and has been invited to speak locally to groups about Parkinson’s disease and its impact on the eyes. Kay brings over a decade of refractive surgery co-management experience to the office and looks forward to guiding you personally through the refractive surgery process.
Adam Hickenbotham, OD, MPH, PhD
Dr. Hickenbotham has 9 years of clinical experience at LASIK and refractive surgery centers with an in-depth understanding of all current refractive surgery treatment options. In addition to his clinical background, he is trained in the development and management of FDA clinical trials and is heavily involved in clinical and academic research in customized wavefront treatments for refractive surgery. He received a Doctorate of Optometry and a Masters in Public Health from University of California, Berkeley and recently completed a PhD in Bioengineering from a joint program with University of California, San Francisco and University of California, Berkeley.
