Frustrated with her poor vision and having multiple pairs of glasses, Barbara opted for monovision. This is a setup when one eye is set for distance while the other is corrected precisely for up close viewing. There's an adaptation period involved when patients have never tried this before but once they adjust, they get to enjoy the "best of both worlds." I tell every patient that monovision is not for every individual but when it works for you, it's a great multi-functional setup. Barbara had already tried monovision with contacts before seeking our help to make it permanent and the results turned out wonderful. She can now drive and read the menu at a restaurant without glasses.

I am so thankful for the freedom that has been given to me by the staff at LaserVue. I began my journey with very poor vision and I have 20/20 acuity now. Doctor's Comments:
Carrie had very specific needs when she came in to our center because of the unique shape of her cornea(outermost surface of the eye). Even though some centers had recommended her to have PRK(photo-refractive keratectomy), she was a bit apprehensive about having that procedure because of the longer healing time. Luckily, our IntraLase technology was able to deliver exactly what she was looking for--fast healing with the versatility to treat almost any corneal profile. Today, Carrie is able to enjoy her weekend outdoor adventures without any restrictions.

When Stephanie first came in to see us, she was very frustrated with her poor distance and near vision. This has been especially difficult for her because she grew up having "perfect" vision all her life. She had taken an interest in monovision, a setup in which one eye becomes her distance viewing eye while the other is set for reading. Since she had never tried monovision before, I fitted her with contact lenses to simulate the exact setup so she can preview everything to see if she could adapt to it before her procedure. She adjusted very well and can now drive, go the the movies, read the menu and newspaper all without glasses.

Sandra has always faced the challenge of having an asymmetric prescription, in which one eye sees a lot better than the other. Her eyes became increasingly strained due to the disparity between her eyes so she decided to have LASIK in her right eye. After her procedure, she started seeing better in her right eye than her left but I'm quite certain it's a change that Sandra will have no problem sdjusting to. We're perfectly happy to be "stuck" with you as a patient forever.

I had a great experience with LaserVue Eye Center. On the day of my surgery with LaserVue, I was out the door within 45 minutes, with the actual surgery time being less than ten minutes! The next day my vision was already 20/15 in my right eye and 20/20 in my left eye, and I haven't seen like this since I was a kid! I found the entire process to be a great experience and all the visits with the doctors have been wonderful. It was very painless, and I'm still enjoying my great vision. Thank you.

Having a very demanding career and schedule, Joe has very specific visual needs and wanted us to meet them. Given that he had heard about us from his friend, he was extremely easy to counsel because he had learned most of the information from his friend already. My LASIK procedure was in September of 1999 and it has been the most liberating event for me. My vision without glasses was count fingers at three feet(I could not even read the big "E" on the chart) before LASIK. On the day of the surgery, everyone was so supportive, and during the procedure, Dr. Bansal would tell me what was happening so I knew where to look and what to expect. The actual laser time was just seconds per eye....INCREDIBLE! When I sat up after, I could actually see the faces in the room with me and read the clock on the wall! The very next day I was able to read the 20/20 line on the chart! I was wearing bifocals prior to my procedure; so I knew that reading glasses would be needed afterwards. But they make fun readers and you do not need them all the time. It truly is amazing to drive, watch a movie, and see the alarm clock all without glasses!

LaserVue answered every question and provided all the necessary information to alleviate any fear I had prior to my procedure. I had only one eye done and it was literally over before I thought it had begun. Dr. Bansal said the laser was adjusting to my eye and I thought it was still doing that, when he said that we were done. I had no pain or discomfort during the procedure or after it. I had heard that it might feel like having sandy grit in my eye after the procedure, but I experienced no discomfort. I highly recommend this office and procedure to everyone.

Traci had worn toric contact lenses for a number of years before she decided it was time for a change. Although her left eye has a small amount of astigmatism, I had recommended to her the option of treating only her right eye first because her vision in that eye was significantly worse. After her procedure, she was so satisfied with her new vision that she didn't see a need to have Intra-LASIK treatment in her left eye. Now her vision in her right eye is much better and her eyes feel more comfortable and balanced than ever before.

I was very excited coming into this. I got very nervous on the day of my procedure but everyone, including the lady at the desk, was extremely nice and made me feel at ease. My biggest amazement was how fast the actual surgery took and the only pain I felt was some slight pressure in the beginning. About an hour after the surgery I felt a little burning but the Valium kicked in and after my nap, I felt nothing. The next day was fabulous--I could see! I haven't had any problems and I am very grateful for the procedure. Thank you very much!!!

Due to Christina's unique corneal profile, she was a better candidate for PRK (photo-refractive keratectomy) than LASIK. The healing time is a little bit longer but in her case, it was the better and safer way to go. She healed very well and part of it had to do with how she heeded and followed all the specific post-operative precautions associated with PRK. Great job Chris!
