Optometrist Kenneth Jew, O.D. is a native San Franciscan who is excited to help locals and visitors alike achieve an improved quality of life through better vision. With years of experience in refractive surgery pre/post-op care and general eye care, Dr. Jew is passionate about helping patients not only see more clearly, but also enjoy their overall vision care experience.
After completing K-12 studies locally (Jean Parker Elementary, Marina Middle School, and Lowell High School), Dr. Jew obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from UC Berkeley and his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) degree from the Southern California College of Optometry (a.k.a. SCCO; now a division of Marshall B. Ketchum University).
In addition to providing quality care, Dr. Jew had the honor of serving as President, Secretary, and Treasurer of his optometric class at SCCO. Dr. Jew completed externships at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System (Palo Alto, CA), the David Grant Medical Center (Travis Air Force Base, CA), and at the Wellish Vision Institute (Las Vegas, NV).
Since returning to Northern California, Dr. Jew has provided optometric care to a diverse patient base in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Dr. Jew looks forward to discussing the risks and benefits of refractive surgery with you and help you decide how it addresses your visual needs and goals. Whether you are a working professional, stay at home parent, student, local resident, retired, and/or just in town for temporary stay, (to name a few), come schedule a visit with us!
On a personal note, Dr. Jew loves rooting for his local Bay Area professional sports teams and spending quality time with his family and friends.
